Tech Tools for Activists Camp

Wye Valley, 11-13 June 2010*
The 3rd edition of our summer camp at Highbury Farm in the beautiful Wye valley taking place between the 11th and 13th June* and this year entitled Tech Tools for Activists Camp, it'll feature two days of workshops, discussions and hackabs looking at how tech can be useful (and dangerous) for activists with lots of introductory stuff for newbies and more advanced stuff for those who want to delve deeper. In the evening there will be both indoor and fireside entertainment, and plenty of time to meet people, and chill.

More details to come shortly about the (small) fee we need to run the event, sign-up, transport etc. In the meantime, if you're interested in coming or getting involved in the running, Get in touch via our mailing list.

* the 11-13 June is a preliminary date at the moment.

Previous Hacktivista events and activities

We have had four great hacktionlabs so far, two rural skills-share events and two urban hacklabs. We've also been involved in bringing tech to and running workshops at a number of events:

:
  • June 2009: The second rural HacktionLab took place between 11 - 14 June 2009 in the Wye Valley on the Wales - England border.
