HacktionLab 2009/02: An urban hack meeting somewhere in the north of England in Autumn 2009

The aim of HacktionLab is to have a convergence where people interested in and/or working in the areas of alternative media, renewable energy, on-line video distribution, free software and any other form of activism that utilises technology can get together an plan how to better use the technology to support the activist movement. We have had three successful gatherings so far, a rural hack meeting in the Wye Valley in June 2008, an urban one in Leeds in October 2008 and another rural one in June 2009.

Previous events and activities from 2008

• The last inner-city HacktionLab took place between 24 - 25 October 2008 in Leeds. click here for more information about the event and what happened

• With other campers we helped to set-up the so-called media village at last year's Camp for Climate Action 2008 in Kingsnorth, Kent.
