The mailing list consensus appears to be that Hacktionlab have a stall at the Bookfair

Who to contact?

Issues to be addressed

  • Staffing the Stall
  • Supplying the stall
    • Ask to be near Indymedia London and Dissident Island (i.e. the fun people)
  • Paying for the stall
    • 1/2 is £20, full table is £40
  • Reasoning behind having a stall (Mission Statement)
    • Have a presence in the anarcho community
    • Support and collaborate with existing tech/media groups
    • Make links with new ones
    • Perhaps coordinate something hands-on/interactive or something like a "Have you tech security questions here" and people can come up and talk to people at the stall about their specific concerns which is a lot more engaging then handing someone a booklet, and would also prompt the person to read the booklet
    • Give out free cake
    • Get donations

Other bookfair activities to get involved with

  • Filming: Bookfair collective is providing a room to do filmed interviews, last year there were some really nice ones recorded and published on imc london (see: https://london.indymedia.org/articles/5910)
  • Catalyst Radio trying co-ordinate recording and streaming the mainhall lectures
  • Attend, record and publish (audio/video) talks and workshops
